14 Hands Winery was introduced by Chateau Ste Michelle Winery in Woodinville, Washington in 2005. At the time, the company was owned by US Tobacco. In 2009, Altria (fomerly known as Phillip Morris) purchased US Tobacco. In 2021, they sold the Chateau Ste Michelle portfolio to private equity firm Sycamore Partners for $1.2 billion. In late 2025, Sycamore sold several of the Chateau assets to Washington-based Wyckoff family, led by Court Wyckoff.
