Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande was founded in Pauillac, France in 1690 by Pierre de Mazur de Rauzan. When de Mazur’s daughter married the politician Jacques Pichon Longueville, the estate took on his name. In 1850, it was split between two heirs of the family, and Pichon Longueville was separated from Pichon-Baron. In 1925, the estate was sold to Edouard Miailhe and Louis Miailhe, and was later inherited by Edouard’s daughter May Eliane de Lencquesaing. In 2006, the property and brand was acquired by the Roederer Group.
