Nobilo Wine was founded in Kumeu, New Zealand in 1943 by Croatian immigrants Nikola and Zuva Nobilo. In 2000, the brand was acquired by BRL Hardy, at the time Australia’s second largest wine group.
In 2003, BRL Hardy merged with New York based Constellation Brands. Constellation later sold Nobilo, along with 29 other brands, to E & J Gallo Winery in 2019 for $1.7 billion.
