Geyser Peak Winery was founded in Geyserville, California in 1880 by Augustus Quitzow. In the 1970s, the business was sold to Vic and Mark Trione, who held the brand until 1998 when it was sold to Fortune Brands in 2001 for $101 million. That company was acquired by Constellation Brands in 2007. The following year, Constellation sold the brand along with several others to Ascentia Wines. They sold the brand to Accolade Wines in 2012, and in 2021 the brand was finally sold again to Quintessential Wines.
