Screaming Eagle Winery and Vineyards was founded in Oakville, California in 1986 by Jean Phillips. In 2006, Phillips sold the winery to Stan Kroenke (owner of the Los Angeles Rams and Arsenal FC, among other investments) and Charles Banks. Banks left the company in 2009, leaving Kroenke as the sole owner.
